Postdoctoral Fellow (Full-time/Part-time) (several posts)

[Appointment period: each for three to six months initially, with possibly of further appointment]

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “Investigating the roles between human and artificial intelligence generative content platforms on creativity”.  They will be required to:

(a)    contribute to and take a leadership role in research projects;

(b)    assist in developing new research projects and funding acquisition;

(c)    provide mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students attached to the projects;

(d)    build virtual reality and augmented reality as collaborative platform for the research projects;

(e)    construct the experiments and collect information, conduct analysis and prepare reports, papers, patents, etc.; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;

(b)    substantial research experience and track records in human factors engineering, human-computer interaction and design;

(c)    user research experience and proficiency in using qualitative and quantitative research methods;

(d)    interest and experience in research; and

(e)    the ability to work effectively as part of the team.

Preference will be given to those with proven research record and publications in relevant fields.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. 

For part-time appointments, the remuneration rate is HK$385 per hour.
