Project Associate / Project Assistant / Project Administrative Assistant (several posts)

[Appointment period: each for twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research projects - “Age-friendly business recognition and capacity building programme”, “Enhancement of age-friendly business recognition and capacity building programme” and/or “Research centre for gerontology and family studies”.  They will be required to:

(a)    plan, coordinate and implement project activities, including large-scale award ceremonies, symposia, professional talks, workshops, visits and other major events;

(b)    develop promotional strategies and establish partnership with partners;

(c)    create, maintain and update content on project website and social media platform such as Facebook;

(d)    manage internal and external communication with organisations, awarding companies, service providers, PR agencies, production houses and other stakeholders for projects and large-scale award ceremonies;

(e)    produce publicity materials, invitations, tender specifications and publications, including press release, video, report, poster, pamphlet, newsletter and other related content;

(f)     liaise with internal departments of the University and external parties; 

(g)    provide support to the project; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Project Associate post should have a master’s degree or a good honours degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Marketing or other related disciplines with at least three years of marketing or communication work experience.

Applicants for the Project Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or other related disciplines with at least one year of marketing or communication work experience.

Applicants for the Project Administrative Assistant post should have five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics.
