Research Associate / Research Assistant (Full-time/Part-time)

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “NeuroLap”. He/She will be required to:
(a) research and develop novel deep learning models for medical image analysis;
(b) research and develop novel extended reality paradigms/algorithms for computer-assisted surgery;
(c) research and develop novel learning algorithms via effective fusion of empirical knowledge, human interactions and machine inference;
(d) write papers, reports and proposals; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Bioengineering, Applied Mathematics, Neuroscience, Clinical Medicine or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.
Applicants should also have:
(a) good English writing skills and research paper and proposal writing experience; and
(b) strong enthusiasm in research and a good sense of self-motivation.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rates are HK$178 per hour for the post of Research Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant.
