Executive Officer (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: five months]

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    serve as Secretary to the Head of the Department;

(b)    assist in office administration and budget management, file key departmental documents in hard and/or soft copies, notably those related to minutes of important meetings, departmental policies and miscellaneous reports, and keep track of them efficiently;

(c)    work closely with the department management led by the Head of the Department, and also Associate Head and Senior Executive Officer where necessary, to implement the Department’s strategic development plan effectively;

(d)    prepare and compile documents/reports, perform data analysis where necessary;

(e)    provide secretarial support to committees/meetings where necessary;

(f)     provide support to functions/programmes organised or supported by the Department;

(g)    maintain the privacy and confidentiality of staff’s personal data; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his/her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a)    a recognised degree plus five or more years of relevant experience, preferably gained from tertiary education sector;

(b)    good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills;

(c)    high self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks independently; and

(d)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
