[Appointment period: six months]

Duties 

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Enhancing mega-region destination development: Uncovering spatial integration through tourist travel patterns”.  

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification in Tourism Studies, Geography, Urban Studies, Data Science or a related field and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application; 

(b)    be comfortable handling large-scale geo-tagged social media data;

(c)    have expertise in spatial-temporal analysis, spatial interaction modelling, and network analysis;

(d)    have experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), topic modelling, or machine learning methods; and

(e)    have peer-reviewed publications aligned with tourism behaviour or mobility research.
