Research Assistant / Part-time Research Technical Assistant

(1) Research Assistant
[Appointment period: six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
(2) Part-time Research Technical Assistant
[Appointment period: eight months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Multimodal estimation of heavy duty vehicle state and road parameters as well as multidimensional assessment of driving risk in unstructured scenarios”. They will be required to:
(a) assist in carrying out research work and preparing technical reports, presentations, and research publications, as well as making proper record of project progress and findings;
(b) conduct research activities in the industry; and
(c) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
For the post of Research Assistant, applicants should have a doctoral degree with substantial experience in conducting research in intelligent transportation systems and providing assistant in publication of SCI-indexed journal papers.
For the post of Research Technical Assistant, applicants should have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification.
For both posts, preference will be given to those with experience in sensor integration and advanced machine learning.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment of the Research Technical Assistant post, the remuneration rate is HK$120 per hour.
