Part-time Research Assistant

[Appointment period: twenty-four months]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “Learning in motion: Real-time reinforcement learning assistants for immersive education”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in the development of a 3D educational metaverse game, which involves creating AI materials and working with Unity models and scenes;
(b) collect information, analysing data and preparing reports;
(c) provide demonstrations and supporting students in efficiently using the platform; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree in Multimedia Technologies, Media Design or related disciplines or an equivalent qualification;
(b) knowledge and experience in using 3D game development software and producing metaverse games to create immersive content;
(c) a good understanding of teaching 2D and 3D animation, with strong communication skills for working with students;
(d) excellent command of spoken English; and
(e) the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is $125 per hour.
