Assistant Marketing Officer (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing and publicity campaigns to enhance the Department’s visibility and promote its academic programmes;

(b)    develop and coordinate communication and promotional materials for both print and digital platforms;

(c)    assist in organising departmental events such as conferences, seminars, and culturally related programmes;

(d)    coordinate alumni activities and events to strengthen the connection between the Department and its graduates, and support the Department alumni association’s executive committee in their work;

(e)    support the Marketing Manager in developing digital marketing strategies and employ suitable analytical skills to review the performance of various online platforms;

(f)     liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties on various marketing and administrative matters, and handle related enquiries; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work beyond and/or outside regular office hours.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree in Language, Translation, Communication, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline;

(b)    have at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in marketing communications, public relations, or related fields.  Experience in event management will be an advantage;

(c)    be proactive, detail-oriented, and creative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team;

(d)    be proficient in digital marketing, with a strong understanding of how to use online platforms and tools effectively for communication and promotion; and

(e)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
