Research Assistant

[Appointment period: six months]

Duties 

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Dyadic management intervention in older people with co-occurring cognitive impairment and diabetes as a supplementary approach to Chronic Diseases Self-Management Program: A hybrid effectiveness-implementation study”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist in the general management of the project; 

(b)    assist in data management and data analysis;

(c)    provide support to the preparation of research materials;

(d)    prepare written reports, presentation materials, manuals and literature reviews for the project; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work on irregular hours including evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have an honours degree in Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy or other health-care related disciplines or an equivalent qualification; 

(b)    have experience in managing quantitative or qualitative data independently;

(c)    have proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Chinese and English word processing; 

(d)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese;

(e)    have good interpersonal and communication skills; and

(f)     be responsible and able to work independently.

Preference will be given to those with clinical nursing experience.
