Executive Officer / Assistant Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    assist in finance management, including monitoring of various accounts, special projects/earmarked funding; 

(b)    provide support to Faculty Management Committee; 

(c)    arrange and coordinate part-time staff appointments; 

(d)    arrange and coordinate contracts for service; 

(e)    ensure timely settlement of monthly payroll for part-time personnel, including visiting lecturers, project associates, student assistants, etc.;

(f)     settle payments for service contractors;

(g)    serve as the departmental buyer for office items;

(h)    manage petty cash; and

(i)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or his/her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants for the Executive Officer post should have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Applicants for the Assistant Officer post should have a recognised degree with at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Applicants should also: 

(a)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; 

(b)    be proactive and self-motivated with good interpersonal, communication and time management skills; 

(c)    be well-organised and attentive to details; and

(d)    be able to work independently.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
