Project Assistant

[Appointment period: three months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “Community healthcare support for residents affected by the Tai Po incident”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    coordinate and support the project; 

(b)    liaise with healthcare practitioners, staff members and alumni regarding the development, implementation and evaluation of the project;

(c)    assist in coordination of service activities and logistics arrangement for project implementation;

(d)    monitor and follow up on the progress of the project;

(e)    assist with data entry, analysis and management of project data;

(f)    assist in preparing work roster for volunteers;

(g)    assist in preparing progress and final reports of the project; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should: 

(a)    have an honours degree, preferably in Social Science, Psychology, Nursing, Public Health or other health-related disciplines, or an equivalent qualification;

(b)    possess an understanding of project execution in an educational setting;

(c)    have a strong sense of self-motivation;

(d)    be able to deliver empathetic and supportive messages to the concerned parties;

(e)    have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

(f)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(g)    be responsible and able to work independently.

Preference will be given to those with experience in project management.
