Senior Project Fellow (Full-time/Part-time)

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “Enhancing mental wellness of the elderly by mind-friendly estate model”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist in managing and curating the programmes with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and residential communities of Hong Kong;

(b)    plan and manage community-based participatory design research activities with team members, including organising events, collaborating with community stakeholders and delivering the research and project outcomes;

(c)    monitor the project progress and prepare strategic plans and reports to keep them on track; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a doctoral degree in Fine Arts or Design plus at least ten years of postdoctoral project management experience in conducting participatory art/design research, curating arts programmes and public art/design initiatives or equivalent qualifications and experience;

(b)    proven corporate leadership in programme curation and development;

(c)    strong expertise in collaborating with NGOs and engaging local community members;

(d)    an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese for project coordination and report editing; and

(e)    the ability to work independently and manage multidisciplinary projects effectively.

Preference will be given to those with prior experience in working with older adults living in public housing and developing prototypes for public engagement.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.

For part-time appointment, the remuneration rate is $630 per hour.
