Project Associate

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) support the planning, coordination and implementation of the Language and Communication Competency Assessment (LCCA) project and related exercises;
(b) assist in the coordination and implementation of various testing activities and events;
(c) provide administrative and liaison support to the preparation of publicity materials in both English and Chinese;
(d) prepare and compile proposals and reports etc., in a professional manner;
(e) provide secretarial support to the project leader, working groups and meetings;
(f) supervise and train temporary staff to ensure quality and timely deliverables, and enhance operational efficiency; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work beyond or outside normal office hours.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree, preferably in Applied Linguistics, English language studies, Language Education, or an equivalent qualification;
(b) have at least five years of experience in project management, financial reporting, and the implementation of language assessments, preferably in tertiary institutions or similar organisations;
(c) demonstrate a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat; knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools and statistical software will be an advantage;
(d) possess a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(e) have a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation;
(f) have good communication, interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills; and
(g) be detail-oriented and a good team-player.
