Research Assistant / Project Assistant (two posts)

[Appointment period: each for twelve months initially, with the possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “Legal foundation model system”. He/she will act as AI Engineers and be required to:
(a) collaborate on prompt engineering, post-training, API integration, and performance optimisation;
(b) utilise the in-house Agent platform to automate complex business processes and continuously optimise workflow systems to ensure system stability and efficiency;
(c) develop high-quality, high-performance AI service backends based on Python and FastAPI;
(d) assist in the design, optimisation, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and access, and integrate search engine technology to meet business requirements;
(e) collaborate closely with legal compliance researchers and data engineers to assist in the generation of training data and the design of test data and scenarios;
(f) support model output analysis and performance report preparation; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields or an equivalent qualification;
(b) be proficient in Coze, Dify, LangGraph, and other Agent construction frameworks, and be able to independently implement complex task automation;
(c) be familiar with Python and have practical experience in NLP and machine learning basics;
(d) be familiar with prompt design and model output evaluation processes; and
(e) have strong written and spoken English and Chinese language skills, a strong learning ability, and team spirit.
