Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Developing a hearing-physical activity dual-task training app for older adults with hearing loss: A mixed method study”. He/She will be required to:
(a) write reports, papers and proposals;
(b) provide overall coordination and assist in the general management of the project;
(c) assist in systematic search and review of the literature;
(d) actively participate in and lead the recruitment of participants, data collection, including both quantitative and qualitative data;
(e) draft progress and final reports;
(f) liaise with participants and staff to facilitate study progression and management; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work on irregular hours including evenings and Saturdays.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow post should have a doctoral degree in Audiology, Nursing, Public Health or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants should also:
(a) have extensive experience in conducting research;
(b) have proficiency in SPSS and Microsoft Office software including Chinese word processing;
(c) have experience in writing research papers and proposals;
(d) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(e) be responsible and able to work independently; and
(f) have good interpersonal and communication skills.
