Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research projects - “Multidimensional parental psychological control and developmental outcomes among Chinese adolescents in Hong Kong” and/or “Parent-adolescent discrepancy in perceived parenting: Developmental changes and longitudinal associations with developmental outcomes among Chinese early adolescents”. He/She will be required to:
(a) liaise with schools that participate in the above-mentioned projects;
(b) collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data;
(c) conduct literature review;
(d) draft manuscripts and school reports;
(e) assist in administrative work; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with fluency in Cantonese;
(c) have good knowledge of analysing longitudinal data using statistical software such as Mplus and R;
(d) have a strong sense of responsibility and good interpersonal skills; and
(e) be a good team player and able to work independently.
