Research Administrative Assistant (Full-time/Part-time)

[Appointment period: three to twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “Research centre for cultural and art technology”. He/She will be required to:
(a) support the research centre’s initiatives in cultural and art technology;
(b) contribute to cutting-edge research projects and related initiatives at the intersection of art, culture and emerging technologies;
(c) assist in the execution of research-related initiatives such as symposiums, hackathons, workshops and exhibitions etc., including liaising with stakeholders, preparing procurement documents, arranging equipment and handling logistics for visiting researchers and speakers;
(d) assist in preparing written report and presentation materials;
(e) maintain the equipment inventory, research documentation and databases;
(f) assist in preparing promotional materials;
(g) assist in preparing materials for demonstrations and working prototype;
(h) support data collection and user studies;
(i) support daily operation of the research centre; and
(j) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics;
(b) have at least one year of relevant work experience;
(c) have basic knowledge of using 2D and 3D related software such as Adobe, Unity while Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) is a plus;
(d) have basic knowledge of Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR), Large Language Model (LLM) while Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is a plus;
(e) have a strong command of MS Office Suite especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
(f) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin;
(g) be proactive, self-motivated and a good team player with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills;
(h) have good problem-solving and coordination skills; and
(i) have the ability to multitask to meet the work schedule.
Preference will be given to those with level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in HKDSE or a recognised international qualification, e.g. IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or above.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rate is $100 per hour.
