Part-time Research Associate / Part-time Research Assistant (several posts)

Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Attentional dynamics in professional bilingual performance: A mixed-method investigation of translation and interpreting”. The appointees will be required to:
(a) conduct literature reviews;
(b) obtain ethics approval;
(c) recruit and test study participants;
(d) assist in data analysis and transcription;
(e) participate in writing and publishing scientific papers;
(f) manage undergraduate student helpers who are assigned to the project; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Psychology, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a good honors degree with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have a good honors degree and preferably a master’s degree in the above said disciplines, or equivalent qualifications with some years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants should also:
(a) be a native or near-native speaker of Putonghua or Cantonese;
(b) be highly proficient in English; and
(c) have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rates are HK$178 per hour for the post of Research Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant.
