Postdoctoral Fellow

[Appointment period: ten to twelve months]

Duties 

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Towards business sustainability and resilience:  Risk modelling and survival prediction of tourism MSMEs based on multi-source and multimodal big data fusion”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist in developing effective data mining and advanced machine/deep learning survival algorithms;

(b)    assist in developing econometric models;

(c)    assist in paper writing and external grant application; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.  

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a doctoral degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Science, Marketing, Tourism/Hospitality Management or other relevant majors) or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;

(b)    be proficient in machine/deep learning and/or applied econometrics using software such as Python and Stata; and

(c)    be proficient in written English.
