Duties
The appointee will join the Marketing Team and play an active role in supporting the Unit’s development on global engagement. He/She will be required to:
(a) design and deliver communication strategies and marketing plans for the Unit to achieve global engagement related to academic and research development, programme, community engagement and knowledge transfer activities;
(b) collaborate and liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders to foster international collaboration and communication;
(c) coordinate and participate in the Unit’s non-local academic visits and liaise for the follow-up actions, including the process of setting up non-local partnership agreements;
(d) plan and implement the Unit’s global engagement initiatives and events including alliance and event management, event promotion and logistics, VIP visits, etc.;
(e) provide secretarial support to committees and meetings; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee will be required to travel outside Hong Kong and work beyond or outside normal office hours for functions, events and meetings.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relation or related disciplines;
(b) have at least five years of relevant working experience, preferably gained in the tertiary education sector;
(c) have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build up a close working relationship with multiple teams and individuals, as well as the ability to influence, persuade and engage stakeholders and peers;
(d) have strong business acumen and professional attitude;
(e) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua;
(f) have good computer literacy; and
(g) be a good team player and able to work independently as well as under pressure to meet tight timelines and work under a fast-paced environment.
Preference will be given to those with hands-on experience in organising large events.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
