Duties
The Communications and Public Affairs Office is now seeking a high-calibre individual to help advance the University’s reputation among target stakeholders and strengthen the PolyU brand image both locally and globally. The successful candidate will play an important role in the Branding and Marketing team of the Office to assist with institutional events, coordinating marketing campaigns and managing administrative work for the Office. The appointee will be required to:
(a) support the planning and coordination of institutional events and marketing campaigns (including online initiatives);
(b) support the administrative duties and operation of the Branding and Marketing team, such as management of purchasing matters and procurement procedures, etc.;
(c) provide support in internal and external meetings, forums and official visits;
(d) coordinate with multiple stakeholders and contractors on events, branding and marketing issues independently;
(e) work closely with the internal design team for souvenirs design and coordinate with external vendors to perform the role of souvenirs sourcing and production;
(f) maintain and support the website update and operations; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree; preferably in Marketing, Business Administration or related disciplines;
(b) have at least 3 years of solid experience in office administration or marketing, preferably with relevant experience in sizable organisations;
(c) be proficient in PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing, etc.;
(d) have effective communication skills, and be well-organised and detail-oriented;
(e) have the ability to be a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
(f) have the ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment;
(g) have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including fluency in Putonghua and Cantonese);
(h) have good computer literacy, in particular PowerPoint, Excel and Chinese word processing; and
(i) be willing to work on weekends, if necessary.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
