Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research projects – (1) “User-controlled secure data sharing and analytics with blockchain and trusted computing technologies”, (2) “Sword of two edges: adversarial machine learning from privacy-aware users”, (3) “Evasive federated learning attacks through differential privacy: mechanisms and mitigations”, (4) “Utilization of the CAiRS secondment fund”, (5) “Financial support for editorship of journals”, (6) “Connectivity, privacy, and penetration test for next generation intelligent transportation systems”, (7) “Local tweaks for privacy-preserving training in machine learning at scale”, (8) “Evaluation and defense technologies for extracting fundamental models基礎模型竊取測評及防禦關鍵技術”, (9) Research center for privacy and security technologies in future smart systems” and (10) “MyGPTShield: A personalized privacy-PreservingPrompt service for large generative AI models”.
Qualifications
For the post of Postdoctoral Fellow, applicants should have a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Engineering or a related discipline or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
For the post of Research Associate, applicants should have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Engineering or a related discipline or an equivalent qualification or a good honours degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Engineering or a related discipline or an equivalent qualification with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
For the post of Research Assistant, applicants should have an honours degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Engineering or a related discipline or an equivalent qualification.
For the post of Project Administrative Assistant, applicants should be a form five school leaver with 5 passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics.
