Part-time Administrative Assistant

[Appointment period: four to six months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative, marketing and logistical support to projects, events and services of the Office;

(b) assist in the preparation and execution of alumni activities, engagement programmes and University events; 

(c) communicate with alumni by email, phone and in person;

(d) prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry;

(e) meet the data entry requirements by following guidelines and standards, as well as complying with the data integrity and security policies; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office and her designate(s).

The appointee may be required to work beyond or outside normal office hours for the purpose of providing support for activities/projects.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; 

(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c) have good computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing;

(d) have the ability to handle large amounts of data and commit to data confidentiality;

(e) have good communication and interpersonal skills; 

(f) be attentive to details; and

(g) be highly responsible, proactive and committed to work.

Preference will be given to those with an associate degree or diploma and/or with one year or more work experience.

Conditions of Service

The remuneration rate is HK$100 per hour.
