[Appointment period: twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research projects - “Enhancement of positive ageing, family relations, and quality of later life”, “i-GESS inter-generational engagement in secondary schools”, “Who cares for sandwiched ageing carers? Effects of intergenerational care provision on future care planning”, “Using Photovoice to improve future care preparation among ageing families in Hong Kong”, “Enhancement of intergenerational digital literacy training for older adults in Hong Kong” and/or “Research centre for gerontology and family studies”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    support in the coordination and implementation of large-scale award scheme or award presentation ceremony by working with public relations company;

(b)    plan and foster collaborative relationships with business associations and targeted companies in organising capacity activities;

(c)    coordinate the maintenance and update of the project website and social media platforms with service providers;

(d)    manage internal and external communications, including media writing and drafting of promotional materials, etc.; 

(e)    organise and implement programme events and activities for the Research Centre for Gerontology and Family Studies; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a master’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Marketing or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with three or more years of relevant work experience.
