Marketing Officer (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: six months]

Duties 

The appointee will work under the Branding and Marketing Division and be required to: 

(a)    implement and organise marketing events and activities, such as banquets, ceremonies, seminars, conferences, competitions, exhibitions, press conferences, delegation visits, etc.;

(b)    liaise and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure successful delivery of projects;

(c)    provide administrative support to the University’s societies, committees, associations and meetings;

(d)    maintain and create content for website and social media channels; 

(e)    prepare reports and project documentations including proposals and budget; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.

Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required. 

Qualifications

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree preferably in Communication, Marketing or Event Management, plus at least three years’ relevant post-qualification working experience; or a recognised certificate or diploma or an equivalent qualification preferably in the said disciplines plus at least five years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;

(b)    have sound knowledge of computer software applications, preferably with knowledge of and experience in MS Office applications and/or Adobe Creative Suite, e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop; 

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; 

(d)    have good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills; 

(e)    be attentive to details and a good team player; 

(f)    be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines; and 

(g)    have good interpersonal and communication skills.
