Executive Officer (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    play a key role in developing publications and publicity materials, such as annual highlights / social media / website / press releases / speeches; 

(b)    write, edit and proofread articles in Chinese and English;

(c)    manage the website and social media account; 

(d)    coordinate signature events and activities of the Student Affairs Office;

(e)    provide secretarial support to meetings; 

(f)    supervise junior staff; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Translation, Languages, Marketing or a related discipline, with at least five years of post-qualification work experience; 

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;  

(c)    possess a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills; 

(d)    be highly independent and motivated; and

(e)    be a good team player and leader, and have the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight timelines.

Preference will be given to those with relevant working experience gained in tertiary institutions.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
