Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “tPAC: phygital-aided construction system based on modular customisable timber fabrication for urban housing”. They will be required to:
(a) assist in developing Mixed Reality (MR) content in Unity to be displayed and interact through HoloLens;
(b) work with Arduino components and construction materials to communicate with Unity virtual content;
(c) collect and analyse information in trans-disciplinary fields and prepare reports;
(d) develop design frameworks with diagrams and mappings;
(e) provide demonstration and assist the students in the utilisation of platforms efficiently; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a master’s degree in Architecture, Computer Science or Engineering or an equivalent qualification;
(b) knowledge of using Extended Reality (XR) related software and producing interactive virtual content and physical models;
(c) a good understanding of teaching virtual environment and the ability to communicate well with students;
(d) an excellent command of spoken English; and
(e) the ability to work independently and meet the work schedule.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rate is HK$122 per hour.
