Assistant Officer / Executive Assistant

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    provide administrative support to academic programmes relating to admission, programme promotion, subject registration, timetabling, assessment, credit transfer, student scholarships, student events and activities, etc.;

(b)    coordinate and ensure compliance with the procedural guidelines and the regulations required for the operation and administration of the academic programmes;

(c)    maintain and update student records and the database of the academic programmes;

(d)    handle written and telephone enquiries from staff, students and applicants;

(e)    provide administrative support to committees, meetings and the School;

(f)    perform general office administrative work for the School; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants for the Assistant Officer post should have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification plus not less than three years of relevant working experience.

Applicants for the Executive Assistant post should have a recognised degree and some relevant working experience.

Applicants should also: 

(a)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(b)    have good computer literacy;

(c)    have good interpersonal and communication skills;

(d)    be well-organised and attentive to details; 

(e)    have a positive working attitude; and

(f)    be a good team player.

Preference will be given to those with relevant working experience in tertiary institutions. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.  

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
