Duties 

The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Integrating behavioral medicine with physiotherapy to improve treatment adherence and performance: A mixed-method randomized controlled trial for physical rehabilitation of stroke patients”.  They will be required to:

(a)    perform recruitment and data collection for a clinical trial for stroke patients to improve their physical function;

(b)    conduct psycho-behavioural interventions for health behaviour change;

(c)    perform data entry and analysis as well as report writing; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Health, Physiotherapy, Psychology or related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.  Preference will be given to those with experience in working with patients with chronic diseases, clinical trial, qualitative interview and analysis or advanced statistical analysis.

Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the above-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants should also:

(a)    be able to speak Cantonese;

(b)    have excellent communication skills; and

(c)    have a strong sense of responsibility and be self-disciplined.
