Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to the Office in day-to-day operation;

(b)    provide support in data collection and analysis for planning;

(c)    liaise with academic and non-academic units of the University as well as external organisations on relevant matters;

(d)    arrange meetings and provide support to committees and working groups, such as preparation of minutes, notes and reports; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Deputy President and Provost or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree;

(b)    have at least five years of solid and relevant post-qualification administrative experience, preferably with some years of experience gained in sizable organisations or tertiary institutions;

(c)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;

(d)    have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as computer literacy;

(e)    be meticulous and have critical thinking, good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills; and

(f)    be pleasant, presentable, proactive, independent and must be able to formulate/implement plans independently and work under pressure.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
