Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    formulate and implement initiatives for knowledge transfer activities in support of the University’s strategic development;

(b)    oversee the governance and compliance with the regulations and policies in respect of knowledge transfer developments under the purview of Deputy President and Provost;

(c)    manage and lead a team to provide administrative support to the Office in day-to-day operation; 

(d)    maintain a comprehensive record of knowledge transfer activities, agreements and compliance efforts;

(e)    provide secretarial service to committees and/or task forces and prepare documents such as minutes and reports for relevant meetings;

(f)    coordinate and liaise with internal and external units to contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures relating to the knowledge transfer developments; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Deputy President and Provost or his delegates.

The appointee may be required to work beyond or outside normal office hours and travel occasionally to Mainland China and overseas for the purposes of attending meetings and/or coordinating events.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree or above;

(b)    possess at least ten years of solid and relevant post-qualification administrative experience at a responsible level, preferably with some years of experience gained in sizable organisations or tertiary institutions;

(c)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;

(d)    have excellent communication,  interpersonal and people management skills;

(e)    be meticulous and have good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills; and

(f)    be pleasant, presentable, proactive, independent and must be able to formulate/implement plans independently and work under pressure.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
