Project Associate

[Appointment period: twenty-four months]

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to the learning and teaching team and the programme leaders of taught postgraduate programmes of the School, including but not limited to programme administration, admissions, student-related matters and networking matters;

(b)    liaise with internal units, students, external organisations, non-local institutions to organise and execute various events/activities and programmes;

(c)    prepare publicity materials for the taught postgraduate programmes;

(d)    organise and support programme promotion, industry talks and seminars, alumni networking, overseas trips, and outreach activities for students and graduates; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, Dean of School or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree with at least five years of solid administrative and supervisory experience or relevant post-qualification experience in project management and industry networking; 

(b)    an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c)    sound computer literacy, including Chinese word processing, PowerPoint and Excel;

(d)    excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills;

(e)    strong liaison and organisational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and set different priorities;

(f)    ability to work independently and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines; and

(g)    high self-motivation.
