Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) support the Student Development Section in the governance and management of student organisations;
(b) plan and implement incentives for the advancement of campus life through the setting up and development of interest clubs and associations;
(c) administer student activity resources for affiliated associations in the University;
(d) communicate and engage internal stakeholders to align institutional practice of student organisations at faculty, school-based or departmental levels;
(e) assist in preparation of proposals and policy papers contributing to the holistic development of student governance and representation;
(f) provide secretarial support to committees, meetings and working groups in relation to student affairs and development as required; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.
The appointee is required to work irregular hours where necessary and conduct off-shore trips for student development related programmes.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree;
(b) have at least five years of solid and relevant post-qualification experience at supervisory level, preferably with expertise gained from student affairs work in tertiary education institutions;
(c) be proactive and have the ability to build rapport with university students;
(d) be able to master multiple priorities and work under a fast-paced environment;
(e) possess supervisory skills to motivate junior staff;
(f) have excellent presentation skills and good computer literacy; and
(g) have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
