Part-time Research Associate

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Research project of Chinese arts and crafts for design education”. The project aims to conduct a systematic study of the aesthetics of Chinese arts and crafts and develop a set of materials that can be used to enhance the curriculum design for the School’s design education to improve the understanding of students on Chinese culture and the aesthetics of Chinese arts and crafts. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct background study;
(b) conduct data collection and analysis;
(c) assist in developing curriculum;
(d) prepare materials for demonstration; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a master’s degree or a good honours degree with three or more years of relevant work experience;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken Chinese, with fluency in English being an advantage;
(c) have good organisational and communication skills; and
(d) be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preference will be given to those who have work experience in the areas of Chinese arts or crafts.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$173 per hour.
