Teaching Fellow in Finance

[will be conferred the title of Lecturer]  

Duties

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    engage in teaching finance related subjects, including but not limited to Corporate Finance, Fixed Income Securities, and Risk Management, and undertake related pedagogical activities at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; 

(b)    contribute to programme/curriculum design, development and administration, and engage actively in scholarly activities; 

(c)    provide support for academic and departmental affairs; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a PhD or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline;

(b)    good subject knowledge, skills and competence in the appropriate academic or professional discipline;

(c)    a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and professional service; and

(d)    an excellent command of English and good communication skills.

Preference will be given to those with relevant teaching experience in tertiary institutions.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
