Project Manager

Duties 

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    supervise, oversee and uphold the smooth running of a gerontechnology development and application programme and the collaboration project with elderly care units; 

(b)    develop and implement operational plans, and maintain a comprehensive record of documents;

(c)    formulate strategies and execution plan to ensure timely delivery of the project goals;

(d)    establish and maintain a closely-knitted gerontechnology network in Hong Kong, the Mainland China and overseas countries; 

(e)    connect the demand and supply side as well as engage gerontechnology stakeholders such as the elderly/rehabilitation service providers, business sectors and gerontechnology-solution providers; 

(f)    plan and execute the strategic publicity and promotion strategies for the project-related programmes and activities; 

(g)    liaise with internal and external working partners in organising joint programmes; 

(h)    monitor projects and oversee all project-related administrative matters, financial and budgetary planning and control; 

(i)    assist the Director of the Jockey Club Smart Ageing Hub in preparing different project proposals and seeking donation opportunities to secure fundings for sustainable development; 

(j)    assist the Director of the Jockey Club Smart Ageing Hub in compiling annual reports, handling human resources and finance matters, and performing administrative procedures; and

(k)    perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Unit, the Director of Jockey Club Smart Ageing Hub or their delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised PhD degree in Healthcare, Communication or Technology;

(b)    possess at least 8 years’ solid work experience at supervisory/management level in project management and coordination;

(c)    have good experience in rehabilitation engineering and assistive technologies for elderly or disabled people; 

(d)    have a good network with NGOs and other stakeholder related to elderly care;

(e)    have good interpersonal and communication skills with team spirits;

(f)    have proven leadership and people management skills;

(g)    be proactive and result-oriented, and must be able to formulate/implement plans independently; and

(h)    have an excellent command of English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
