Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Reduction of stigma against people with mental illness among mental healthcare trainees through interconnectedness and nonattachment”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist the project leader in research activities related to construct in Buddhist psychology;
(b) conduct research report coding and literature review;
(c) assist in designing research tools such as questionnaires and experimental materials;
(d) conduct data collection/extraction, data processing and data analysis;
(e) prepare publications;
(f) liaise with project collaborators and related parties; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Psychology or other related disciplines;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) have knowledge of using statistical software such as Mplus, SPSS and R;
(d) be passionate about research, especially in the fields of mental illness stigma and Buddhist psychology; and
(e) be self-motivated, well-organised, detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$122 per hour.
