Executive Assistant

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide administrative support to taught and research programmes, teaching and learning matters as well as research and personnel related matters; 

(b)    assist in the organisation of the Department’s activities / events;

(c)    maintain an effective database and filing system;

(d)    support general office administration; 

(e)    liaise with the University’s internal departments, external organisations, professional bodies, students and alumni, and handle enquiries; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree plus some relevant post-qualification experience;

(b)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c)    good problem solving skills and computer literacy, including Chinese word processing, PowerPoint and Excel;

(d)    the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines; and

(e) good analytical, organisational, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Preference will be given to those with some working experience in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
