Part-time Research Assistant (two posts)

Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “The social networks of children with neurodevelopmental disorders in inclusive early childhood classrooms in Hong Kong”. The project investigates the characteristics of social networks in children with special educational needs in inclusive early childhood classrooms. They will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review;
(b) assist in developing and preparing research tools such as questionnaires;
(c) conduct data collection and data management;
(d) liaise with schools, parents and project collaborators; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree, preferably in Psychology, Education or other social science related disciplines;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) have experience in working with young children;
(d) have interests in supporting children’s diverse learning needs;
(e) have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(f) be self-motivated, well-organised, detailed-minded and able to multi-task.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$122 per hour.
