Executive Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    provide administrative and quality assurance support to the Office to facilitate its smooth running;

(b)    provide management and administrative support for the delivery of quality service-learning subjects;

(c)    handle student administration matters, including but not limited to scholarship, subsidy and student records;

(d)    provide secretarial support to departmental committees and meetings;

(e)    supervise junior staff and support in daily general office administration, including office financial matters; 

(f)    work closely and liaise with both internal and external parties; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work on irregular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a)    a recognised degree or above;

(b)    at least five years of relevant post-qualification administrative experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions;

(c)    experience in programme and/or subject administration;

(d)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with fluency in Putonghua;

(e)    excellent computer literacy;

(f)    good analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills; and 

(g)    good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preference will be given to those with solid subject administration experience in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
