Duties

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    plan, manage, and execute the exhibitions in the studios;

(b)    assist in teaching tutorials and practicums of pattern design, garment making up and other design subjects for undergraduates;

(c)    train students and research personnel to operate the sewing equipment of the School;

(d)    support research activities of the School; 

(e)    support fashion shows and promotional activities of the School and the University; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by Dean of School or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree or above in Fashion Design, Pattern Design or a discipline related to Fashion and Textiles; 

(b)    at least five years of relevant post-qualification work experience;  

(c)    expertise and commitment to excellence in an area pertinent to the development of research in fashion technology;  

(d)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(e)    good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
