The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Improving post-acute stroke follow-up care by adopting telecare consultations in a nurse-led clinic during COVID-19 and beyond: A hybrid type 2 implementation-effectiveness randomized trial”.  They will be required to:

(a) assist in recruiting patients and collecting data;

(b) liaise with participants and community/hospital staff to facilitate the study progression and management;

(c) perform statistical analysis;

(d) conduct interviews with participants and community/hospital staff; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.


Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Management, Statistics, Psychology, Nursing or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience.

Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in one of the said disciplines or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants should also:

(a) have experience in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis;

(b) have experience in interviewing people;

(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

(d) have good interpersonal and communication skills;

(e) be able to work independently in community, university and/or hospital; and

(f) be interested in working with elderly and youth.
