Postdoctoral Fellow

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Metaphors of leadership: Gender and communication in the business community”. He/She will be required to:
(a) undertake corpus analyses and conduct interviews;
(b) analyse collected data;
(c) develop drafts of high impact research publications based on the project;
(d) organise and lead a series of workshops on the project findings;
(e) measure and report on workshop outcomes;
(f) assist in teaching one course per year; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department, the project leader and/or their delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a doctoral degree in Linguistics, Data Science, Psychology or Business, and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application; and
(b) excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Preference will be given to those with:
(a) expertise in running online and in-person quantitative and qualitative participant surveys;
(b) experience in one or more of the following software/tools: Python, NLP Toolkit, R, SPSS, NVivo or MAXQDA, or other relevant NLP or statistical software; and
(c) high-impact research output in their field as well as with organisational and public speaking/teaching experience.
