Information Technology Officer / Assistant Information Technology Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting services on assigned operating systems, administrative systems, network systems, software, hardware and audio visual systems;
(b) carry out technical assistance and field support to meetings, seminars and activities such as video conferencing and video live streaming;
(c) assist in maintenance and technical development of various web-based systems;
(d) assist in maintenance of Cloud server systems; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Information Technology Officer post should have a recognised degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification plus not less than five years of relevant working experience.
Applicants for the Assistant Information Technology Officer post should have a recognised degree in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification OR a higher diploma in Information Technology plus not less than three years of relevant working experience in IT field.
Applicants should also:
(a) have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Windows, Windows Server, MacOS, and iOS;
(b) have solid programming knowledge of and experience in ASP, PHP, Java, Python, JavaScript and SQL;
(c) be self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure; and
(d) have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preference will be given to those who have knowledge of design software and hardware, eLearning platforms and image/video/animation editing as well as experience in supporting online teaching and learning in educational environment.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
