Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) take the lead in branding and communication of departmental and academic programmes at all levels;

(b) liaise with internal and external parties in coordinating and organising student recruitment activities and departmental events, including conferences;

(c) manage the external departmental communication channels including website and social media platforms;

(d) liaise with institutional partners and prepare collaboration agreements and memoranda of understanding of academic exchange;

(e) maintain good relationship with alumni and employers;

(f) lead and train students to participate in departmental communication activities;

(g) compile departmental reports and statistics for different exercises; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in Language, Communication or related areas;

(b) at least five years of post-qualification experience in marketing communication, corporate communication and public relations in tertiary education or business sector;

(c) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d) good communication and interpersonal skills; and

(e) good liaison and organisational skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
