Reporting to the Director of Alumni Affairs, the appointee will play a leadership role in the development and implementation of strategic engagement initiatives and programmes for alumni and former staff members of the University.
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) assist the Director of Alumni to manage the functions and duties in support of the strategic objectives and specific goals of the University;
(b) lead and work with teams to develop and drive strategic plan for advancing alumni and former staff engagement with the University;
(c) design and implement engagement initiatives and innovative programmes to connect alumni and former staff to cultivate lasting relationship with the University and enhance their involvement in and support to the University;
(d) manage and support alumni and former staff associations, bodies and networks to strengthen their relationship with and support to the University;
(e) develop and manage related marketing, promotion and communication activities and materials;
(f) coordinate and liaise with internal units and external parties to facilitate effective implementation of programmes and projects; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work beyond or outside normal office hours for the purpose of attending meetings and/or coordinating activities.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Management or a relevant discipline;
(b) have proven managerial experience (not less than eight years), and with solid experience in stakeholder engagement, event management and/or programme development in sizable organisations;
(c) have an analytical mind with strong planning and organising abilities as well as people management, project management and problem-solving skills;
(d) be innovative, highly motivated and result-oriented, and be able to implement plans and strategies independently;
(e) have a proven record in organising and managing large-scale events, preferably be familiar with event technology trends; and
(f) have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably in Putonghua as well.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
